Well, I was here for one thing, and I think it will be clear in the
photos... Oktoberfest. It was GREAT!!! I spend the day in the Bräurosl
tent, and a good time was had by all. The city is quite nice, as well. You
cannot see it in my pictures, but I managed to get to the BMW museum while
here as well. This is Bavaria, the home of BMW. It was very cool to see.
But, Oktoberfest was the real happening. Lederhosen and all.
That's a glockenspiel over my shoulder. Very cool.
The bands were endless, marching all day long.
It's like a big fair, as well as a beer fest. Don't worry. I got to that soon enough.
That's my tent in the background. I could not figure how to get across. Finally, the parade ended long enough for me to make it.
And here it is. Wow. I was there at 11:30 and it was already FULL. Or so I thought. I had no idea what "FULL" meant. I found out later.
Have a "little" beer.
One guy from Spain in the whole tent, and I met him.
Gerhard... in his lederhosen. Hey, who unbuttoned my shirt?
Falk, Gerhard's brother. Such nice guys from Berlin!
Now, it's full!
We were pretty drunk by now. Gerhard had to take me to a taxi. I was home by 5:30 pm, and I slept until LATE the next morning. Man. I'll never do that again. But, oh well, been there, done that. It is worth doing at least once. And, I made some great friends in the process.
